A POLICE probe has been sparked after two men reportedly broke into a jewellers.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a burglary to a business in Blandford.

The incident occurred at around 4.45am on Saturday (August 14) at Aurora Gems in Salisbury Street.

It is reported that two men gained entry to the shop and stole a small quantity of cash.

Police Constable Alistair James, of North Dorset police, said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in Salisbury Street in the early hours of Saturday 14 August 2021.

“I would urge any motorists who were travelling in the area to please check their dashcams for any footage to assist my enquiries.”
