A MAN has been arrested after a group stole a “large quantity” of jewellery from Pandora in Poole.

Dorset Police received a report at around 9.30pm on Sunday, August 15, of a burglary at Pandora in the Dolphin Shopping Centre.

A group of men forced entry to an area behind Kingland Crescent, before entering the shop and stealing a large quantity of jewellery.

Officers attended and it is reported that the group ran away toward the railway line. One man, aged 39 and of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and is currently assisting officers with their enquiries.

The remaining members of the group allegedly got into a dark-coloured people carrier vehicle that was parked nearby in Sainsbury’s car park in Pitwines Close and drove off from the area.

Some of the jewellery has been recovered.

Police Constable Sarah Hodgson, of Dorset Police’s Priority Crime Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please come forward.

“I would urge motorists to please check their dashcams for any footage that may assist my enquiries.”
