OVERNIGHT closures along the Wessex Way are to put in place from this evening as the council begin maintenance works on the busy arterial road.
BCP Council say they will be undertaking grass cutting along the verges, clearing gullies and picking up litter along the A338.
The closures will be in place from the Cooper Dean flyover to the County Gates for two nights.
The dual carriageway closed from 8.30pm on August 16 and 17 and will be in place for seven hours on both dates.
The works are part of the Council’s ongoing Cleaner, Greener, Safer campaign
Previously, Councillor Mark Anderson, portfolio holder for environment, cleansing and waste had said: “This work is taking place on one of the main access routes for residents and visitors and will significantly contribute to making our roads even better and safer for everyone living, working and visiting us.”
