A TEENAGE boy was stabbed on the seafront late on Friday night.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after the incident on Canford Cliffs beach promenade in Poole at around 10.20pm on Friday, August 13.

The victim – a 16-year-old boy from Poole – was taken to hospital for treatment to a stab wound.

His injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Detective Constable Steve Allen, of Bournemouth CID, said: “A full investigation is under way into this incident.

“I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened to please come forward.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who has information about who was responsible.

“Local officers will be carrying out patrols in the area and can be approached by members of the public with any concerns.”

The offender is described as white and approximately five feet ten inches tall with a beard. He was wearing a black tracksuit.
