POLICE, fire crews and the ambulance service were called to a crash involving three vehicles in Christchurch.

Officers were called at 4.32pm following the collision on the A35 Christchurch bypass between the Fountain Roundabout and the Stony Lane Roundabout.

One person was treated at the scene by the ambulance service for minor injuries, but hospital treatment was not required, and the road was partially blocked.

A police spokesman said: “We received a report at 4.32pm of a three-vehicle collision on the A35 Christchurch bypass between the Fountain Roundabout and the Stony Lane Roundabout.

“Officers have attended, and the ambulance service has been notified, although there are no reports of any serious injuries.

“The fire service also assisted at the scene.”

The vehicles were recovered and officers left the scene at around 5.30pm.
