A PEDESTRIAN has been seriously injured in a crash with a van in Bournemouth this morning.
The woman was taken to hospital following the incident in Holdenhurst Road.
The crash involved a VW Transporter panel van registered to a Poole company.
Police were called to the scene at 8.35am before officers attended and closed the road.
The ambulance service also attended.
Dorset Police said: “The female pedestrian was treated by the ambulance service and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Road closures were put in place as emergency services responded to the incident and were lifted shortly before 10am.”
Bus operator Morebus diverted services as a result of the road closure.
Morebus said: "Due to a police incident outside the Coop on Holdenhurst Road buses cannot serve the railway station going away from Bournemouth at present.
"Buses will divert using Oxford Road and Lansdowne Road to Coach House Place. Sorry for any inconvenience caused."
