REPORTS have been made of young people climbing on dangerous buildings and routes in Shaftesbury.
Officers on patrol in Shaftesbury have expressed concern after getting reports of young people climbing on building, and have given a stern warning in an attempt to discourage the dangerous activity.
A spokesman for North Dorset Police said: "Our team have been out on foot patrol today (in the rain) to visit known areas where groups of youths and others meet up.
"A new concern are reports of climbing on buildings. This may be fun but in wet weather or coupled with drink and/or drugs any fall could be fatal and damage could be caused, especially as some of the routes chosen are rotten.
"We are working with landlords to safeguard property and to dissuade your kids from causing damage or wasting ambulance time."
