A MAN was assaulted in his car before the vehicle was stolen by a man and a woman.
Detectives have launched an investigation into the robbery, which took place in Poole on Thursday evening.
Dorset Police received a report of the incident in Churchill Road, Parkstone, at around 9.25pm on August 5.
It was reported that the victim, aged in his 50s, was in his car when he was assaulted by a man and a woman and his vehicle was stolen.
The victim sustained lacerations to his arms and was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening.
A force spokesman said following enquiries by officers, a man and woman aged in their 20s – both from Poole – were arrested on suspicion of robbery. They are assisting detectives with their enquiries.
A search of an address in Poole makes up part of Bournemouth CID's investigations, the spokesman said.
