A UK-based Australian chicken salt business is giving away free chips in Bournemouth this weekend so locals can get a taste of the land down under.
Uncle Chook’s Chicken Salt will a host a pop-up store on Saturday August 7 and Sunday 8, where free chips will be on the menu every hour from 10:00 am – 3:00pm.
An Uncle Chook’s spokesperson said: “If you've been to Australia or New Zealand, you'll know what we are talking about. If not, it's basically an upgrade to salt. It's best used on hot chips but it's amazing also on noodles, pasta, onion rings and even salads.
“Our chicken salt is the first of its kind in the UK. It's Australia's best kept secret and we are letting the UK in on it.”
The shop will be located on 6 Westover Road.
