THE family of a man who died in a crash near Corfe Castle last month have said he will “never be forgotten”.

Sam Christopher, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle crash on Saturday, July 24.

It involved a black Audi A5 Coupé, which had left the road and landed in a field along the B3069 between Kingston and the turn-off to Worth Matravers.

In a tribute issued via Dorset Police, Mr Christopher's family said: “He has left a large void in the lives of his family and friends, and will never be forgotten.”

Mr Christopher's family is continuing to be supported by officers.

Police Constable Dave Cotterill, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are with all Sam’s family and loved ones at this very difficult time for them.

“We are continuing to carry out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision. I would like to renew my appeal for any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to please come forward if you have not already spoken to police.”

An inquest has been opened into Mr Christopher's death
