A CYCLIST was taken to hospital after a crash near Church Knowle in Purbeck.
Police and fire crews attended the incident shortly before 7.30pm on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 7.24pm on Tuesday, August 3, of a collision involving a car and a cyclist at Church Knowle.
“Officers attended, along with the fire and ambulance services.
“The male cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. Officers left the scene at around 9pm.”
A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two crews from Wareham were sent to Church Knowle at 7.22pm yesterday following a collision between a car and a cyclist, it was initially reported that someone was trapped.
"On arrival, no one was trapped so crews supported police and ambulance colleagues by making the scene safe, and the stop was at 8.04pm."
