SOUTHBOURNE coastguard were called to a number of incidents yesterday, including a casualty on the slipway at Mudeford Quay and a person on the edge of Gordon's zig-zag.
The coastguard were called to rescue person who had slipped on the slipway at Mudeford Quay yesterday afternoon, Thursday, July 22, at 2.57pm.
Once on the scene they located the casualty who was already in the care of South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.
No further help was required and the coastguard remained on scene until the ambulance had departed along with the casualty for a checkup in hospital.
Later in the day, at 7.44pm the coastguard responded to reports of a person on the cliff edge at Gordon's zig-zag in Southbourne.
Once on the scene they began enquiries along with Dorset Police of the immediate area but after an extensive search and with nothing found the coastguard stood down and returned to station.
