THREE Dorset coastal locations have been named in the top 10 ‘Most Instagrammed’ beaches in the UK, according to a marketing agency.
With staycations and an anticipated July heatwave on the horizon, Extreme Marketing compiled a list of 100 UK beaches that have seen the most Instagram tags this year.
Dorset hotspots White Nothe, Durdle Door and Bournemouth Beach came second, third and fourth respectively.
The #WhiteNothe was used approximately 740,000 times, considerably more than the 245,000 #DurdleDoor tags and 158,000 mentions for #BournemouthBeach.
A deeper dive into the data also shows Sandbanks beach among the top 100, with 31,100 mentions.
The picturesque spots are likely to see a greater social media presence this month, with temperatures set to soar.
