EASTENDERS fans were in fits of laughter after Dorset resident and former football manager Harry Redknapp made a cameo on the popular soap.

It was previously announced that Harry Redknapp, aged 74, would make an appearance in Walford as part of a football-themed episode.

Within the episode, the Poole resident was rumoured to visit Albert Square o visit his good friend Terry Cant, played by Brian Conley.

Despite skepticism that the former West Ham manager would make an appearance, including from Terry’s daughter Sonia Fowler and Hammers fan Billy Mitchell, Harry suddenly appeared and greeted Terry with a hug.

The Queen Vic, which was hosting a Euros-themed celebration, lit up when the King of the Jungle walked through its doors.

West Ham fan Mick Carter was left dumbstruck as Harry Redknapp approached the bar and said: “Hello governor, can I get a pint, please?”

After ordering his pint, an excited Mick asked for Harry’s autograph and claimed he’s ‘been Hammers since birth’.

He told Harry he was “one of the greatest West Ham managers of all time” after he got the East London club into Europe - despite quipping he later managed rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

After some banter, Harry tells Mick it’s a “nice pub” and a “nice boozer”. The King of the Jungle also praised the photo of Bobby Moore in the pub, noting “No-one in the world like him, mate.

“Bobby Moore, what a man he was. He was the greatest.”

Linda, Mick’s wife, then lies to Harry that she’s a big fan despite not knowing who he was before he walked into the Queen Vic.

After being told he’s welcome back in the Vic anytime, a happy Harry departed the pub with a pint in hand.

Billy Mitchell, who earlier quipped that Alan Pardew was a better West Ham manager, even grabbed a sneaky selfie with Harry in the background.

Harry then sat down with his pint with Terry, Kathy and Sonia in the beer garden and enjoyed some banter, with Harry joking that Terry’s Rocky much talked about cameo was merely seeing the back of Terry's head in a scene in Rocky III.

Harry then speaks with Rocky and tells him he’s lucky to have Sonia in his life.

Following his short cameo, social media was full of praise for the former manager with some praising his acting abilities.

“Harry Redknapp has turned up like it’s deadline day. Billy Mitchell says he preferred Pardew.

“What the actual.”
