THE coastguard helicopter was called to recover a casualty from a vessel off Dorset’s coast.
Poole Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked to create a landing space for the helicopter at Whitecliff.
A spokesperson said: “Requested by Joint Rescue Coordination Centre to provide landing site safety and assistance to Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 175 with a casualty recovered from a vessel off the Dorset Coast.
“Southbourne Coastguard also tasked but diverted to another incident on route. Once helicopter had landed, team assisted with transfer of casualty into the care of South Western Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust.
“Once all assets clear of landing site, helicopter departed and team stood down to return to station.”
