RESIDENTS across Dorset have been warned after a vehicle was seen acting suspiciously around farms.
An officer from Dorset Police's rural crime team has issued an alert in relation to a black and grey Ford Ranger Double-Cab Pick-Up truck, registration W**6 CUO.
Police Community Support Officer Tom Balchin said: "This vehicle has been seen in suspicious circumstances around North Dorset and South Dorset. The occupants were seen acting suspiciously around farms.
"The vehicle is registered out of county so please note it could come to notice county wide."
Anyone who sees the vehicle or other vehicles acting suspiciously is asked to gather as much information as possible such as the registration number and descriptions of the driver and any passengers.
Police say if it is to take a photograph, do so, but no-one should put themselves in danger to do this.
If the vehicle or its occupants are seen committing crime, call Dorset Police on 999 immediately.
For non-emergencies, call 101, report the matter at dorset.police.uk, or email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk.
