THERE’S no question about it, Winton is the new Bournemouth.
Our old town centre is a shadow of its former self. Big department stores empty, and with many other smaller shops boarded up, Bournemouth has a ‘ghost town’ feel about it. You can literally see the tumbleweed.
Compare and contrast with Winton. A hive of activity, bustling with shoppers and people eating and drinking in a wide variety of bars and cafes.
Big shops such as Lidl, Waitrose, Sainsburys and Tesco alongside Wilko, G&Ts, Boots, WH Smiths and dozens of other smaller outlets.
There are also lots of charity shops big and small, making Winton far more appealing these days than Bournemouth.
