FIRE crews were tasked to rescue a car in a lake near Ferndown with the driver still inside.
Crews from Ferndown, Poole and Redhill Park attended the lake near Pompeys Lane on Sunday morning.
A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire crews and technical rescue teams responded to a report of a car in a lake with the driver still in the car, at Pompeys Lane, Ferndown.
“However, on arrival at the scene, it was established that the driver had managed to get themselves out of the car and out of the water.
“The water was still water and about a metre deep.
"A vehicle recovery service was called and no assistance was necessary by firefighters.”
