POLICE are carrying out searches for a man who has gone missing from Bournemouth.

Neil Armstrong, 43, was last seen at 3pm Thursday, June 24, and was last in contact with family at around 7.30pm on the same day.

He was reported missing to Dorset Police at around 1pm on Friday, June 25.

It is believed he left his home address in the town in a red Ford Focus with the registration number MA69 LGZ.

Neil is described as white, five feet eight inches tall and of average build with brown hair and tattoos on his upper arm.

Police said he was last seen wearing navy-coloured tracksuit bottoms, a red hooded jumper and blue and white Nike Air Max trainers.

Chief Inspector Andy Bell, of Dorset Police, said: “Officers are currently carrying out searches in a bid to locate Neil so we can ensure that he is safe and well.

“We understand Neil has been upset recently and it is out of character for him not to make contact with family and therefore, we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“I would urge anyone who has seen Neil or a man matching the description given to please contact Dorset Police.

“Finally – if you see this appeal Neil, please contact us or your family and let us know where you are as we all just want to ensure you are all right.”
