A GOOD part of Monday morning’s news bulletins was devoted to interviewing 91-year-old Maragaret Keenan - lauding her as the ‘first person in the world to receive a Covid vaccine’.
While not wishing to detract from the example she set, we are in danger of forgetting the many thousands of people who took the risk of taking part in the clinical trials that led to the vaccine that Margaret Keenan, and the many, many millions who followed her, were given, being approved.
Those volunteers really were taking a step into the unknown and we owe every one of them a huge debt.
