A SKY lantern set fire to cliffs at Durdle Door last night.
Firefighters were alerted at 11:34pm to reports of the blaze.
A spokesman for Wareham Fire Station said: "One fire engine was sent to Durdle Door to reports of a sky lantern that had landed and set fire to the cliff.
"On arrival and after investigation, the fire was out.
"Please don’t use sky lanterns."
