OUR beloved pets mean everything to us and have been our cuddly companions throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
This is why we launched the Bournemouth Daily Echo Pet Idol 2021 competition, to give a platform to doting dogs, cuddly cats, huggable hamsters, perfect parrots and even a spoilt skunk!
Animal lovers from across Bournemouth and Dorset have been telling us all about the antics of their furry friends and just how much their pets have meant to them during the pandemic.
The entries for the contest are now in and we're looking for votes from our readers to decide which furry or fabulous friend should be crowned this year's winners.
Peruse our gallery of 195 creatures great and small, all of them contenders for the coveted prize.
The winner will scoop £50 of vouchers and will make a special appearance in the Bournemouth Daily Echo and online.
