THE UK's only beach yoga festival is returning to Bournemouth this year - but in a new location.

Beach Yoga Fest, an event celebrating the practice of yoga in its many forms, is to be held on the beach from Friday June 18 and Sunday June 20, the weekend before the International Day of Yoga on June 21.

Co-founder of Beach Yoga Fest, Nina Fox said: "We are really excited to be putting on the festival again. Lockdown has really shone a light on how people have dealt with their mental and physical well-being.

"We want to help show the benefits of Yoga and the calming effects that it can have on people."

This year, the three-day festival will take place to the east of Bournemouth Pier.

Attendees have been instructed to walk past Harry Ramsden's on your left with the beach on your right and Bournemouth Pier behind.

Walk towards the lifeguard station in the direction of Boscombe pier and you will see the festival.

For those coming from the East Cliff hotels, come via Zig Zag near the Jon Egging Memorial.

This year’s event will feature more than 60 classes, including Yin Yoga, Ashtanga, Sunrise Meditation, Acro Yoga and Energising Yoga Flow.

There will also be seminars, wellbeing classes and massage for people to take part in.
