A MAN’S Rolex watch was stolen after he was approached by a woman in the street in Poole.

The victim, aged in his 70s, was walking along Bingham Avenue in the Lilliput area at around 2.40pm on Sunday, May 30, when a woman started a conversation with him.

Following a short interaction, the woman held the victim’s arm forcefully and stole his Rolex watch which was stainless steel with a green bezel and a black face.

Police say the woman left the scene in a grey or silver-coloured vehicle.

She is described as white, approximately aged between 25 and 35 years old, five feet eight inches tall and well-built with blonde hair.

Police Constable Chris Raspini, of the Priority Crime Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the relevant time and may have witnessed what happened to please get in touch.

“I would urge residents and motorists to please check their home CCTV systems and dashcams for any footage to assist my enquiries.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen a Rolex watch matching the description given for sale locally in unusual circumstances.

“Finally, I am keen to hear from anyone who may have been approached in a similar way in the vicinity or has any information to help my investigation.”
