WAREHAM-based special effects experts The Twins FX are bringing their latest terrifying attraction to Dorset next month.

Survival Zone - Alien Encounter will be scaring the wits out of those brave enough to give it a go on eight nights in June.

And tickets are expected to sell fast following a sell-out event in October last year.

Bournemouth's Christmas Tree Wonderland will return this year

The Twins FX have joined forces with Made to Measure Productions for their latest adventure at Weymouth's Nothe Fort.

Featuring actors and special effects it is not for the faint-hearted.

Describing the concept, a spokesman said: "In Spring 2021, a Sonic Boom was heard across the south coast. Intense investigations have shown the cause to be an unidentified creature which landed in the Parade Ground at Nothe Fort.

"Taking shelter in the underground tunnels, the creature is biding it’s time, waiting for it’s next victim - it could be you.

"As you weave your way through the labyrinth of dark underground passageways, keep your wits about you - you never know who or what is lurking around the corner. Only the bravest can survive."

The Twins FX and Made to Measure Productions were both recently awarded grants from the Government’s Cultural Recovery Fund, allowing them to continue creating bespoke immersive events.

The grants will allow both companies to get back on their feet by creating projects that will employ many local performers and creatives and begin to resurrect the arts and cultural offering in the local area.

Lee Redwood, from Made to Measure Productions said: "Amidst lockdowns and tier restrictions, we were thrilled to be able to go ahead with our October event last year at Nothe Fort – it’s the perfect setting for a scare attraction such as Survival Zone as it’s so steeped in it’s own history and the tunnels are frightening enough even with the lights on"

Gary Hardy-Brown, Managing Director at TheTwinsFX said: "We can’t wait to start Survival Zone again. Everything is designed and manufactured in Dorset, we provide important job opportunities locally."

Historic cinema is re-opening to the public

The event runs from June 10-13 and June 17-20 from 5pm until 11pm each evening.
