WONDERFUL to read that Bobby’s is returning to Bournemouth.
I remember the store with much affection, especially 1941.
I was eight years old, and my mum took me to a special children’s Christmas party.
It was run by Alfred Jupp, the leader of the orchestra, and he made up a song for us ‘kids’ -
“I lost my pup up Upper Parkstone”.
I still remember it today.
May the new Bobby’s prosper as the original did in 1915.
