THE alcohol licence application for a new Greek restaurant on Poole Quay was withdrawn before councillors were due to consider it.
The proposals for Anemos in The Quay were scheduled to be decided at the Thursday meeting of a BCP Council licensing sub-committee.
But chairman councillor Judy Butt said the application had been withdrawn and was no longer up for consideration.
A licence allowing alcohol to be sold from a "small bar" at the restaurant from 10am to 11pm had been requested by the owners of the business.
But as a result of a single letter of objection, had been due to come before the sub-committee for a decision on Thursday.
However, it was revealed at the start of the meeting that the application had now been withdrawn with the licence no longer requested for the restaurant.
At the same meeting councillors agreed to open and immediately adjourn their consideration of requests to vary licences for More the Merrier and Urban Reef, both in Bournemouth.
This was done to comply with legal timescales for holding licensing hearings.
Both will now be considered at a separate sub-committee meeting on May 12.
