DORSET'S NHS hospitals are treating six coronavirus patients, according to the latest figures.

Data released by NHS England on the Covid situation across the country's hospitals reports that on April 27 – the most recent date available – there were four patients with Covid being treated at University Hospitals Dorset.

One patient was receiving treatment at Dorset County Hospital, while another was under the care of Dorset HealthCare.

None of these six patients were required mechanical ventilation support as of April 27.

In terms of Covid admissions, UHD reported six admissions in the week to April 25, however, this included no admissions on the most recent three days.

Dorset County Hospital had one patient admitted with coronavirus, as did Dorset HealthCare.

In the past couple of weeks, Dorset County Hospital had two days – April 20 and April 21 – when the site was not treating any Covid patients.
