POLICE tackling speeding in the New Forest recorded more than 50 offenders during their latest checks.
Officers recorded the speed of drivers at Roger Penny Way on Tuesday April 27 and found 54 drivers travelling above the 40mph limit.
The highest speed recorded was 56mph and on-the-spot fines were issued to several drivers.

A spokesman for New Forest Heart Cops said: "Please remember that foals are appearing and they will run out into traffic.
"Thank you to all drivers who were respecting the speed limit."
