A MAN causing distress to members of the public in Bournemouth town centre has been banned from the area.
Police Community Support Officers patrolling the area issued a Section 35 order during patrols to check for anti-social behaviour on Monday.

Section 35 forms part of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and gives Police Constables or Police Community Support Officers in uniform the power to exclude a person from an area for a period of up to 48 hours with an Inspector's authority.
A spokesman for Bournemouth police said other anti-social behaviour issues were dealt with during the patrol and added: "If you are in town, come and say hello to us."
