BRITAIN’S Got Talent semi-finalists Circus of Horrors will be coming to Bournemouth and Poole on tour this year to offer a rock and roll experience of impressive and bizarre circus acts.

Circus of Horrors' ReBorn, ReVamped and Rockin show will be a celebration of its history and will include an amalgamation of acts.

Acts featured in the shows include: sword swallowers, aerialists hanging from their hair and teeth whilst suspended above the auditorium, jugglers, acrobats, hula hoopers, human pin cushions and more.

Creator and the 'Undead ringmaster' of the Circus of Horrors, Dr Haze (otherwise known as John Haze), 55, said: "I love it down in Dorset and I’m really looking forward to going back. Our act certainly is unusual – it’s an alternative rock and roll circus all performed to rock music.

"We are itching to get back to what we know best, producing the best rip roaring sensational entertainment. It has been far too long but the flicker at the end of the tunnel is turning into an inferno and we are ready."

The Circus of Horrors, which is celebrating its 26 anniversary this year, was inspired by music and films from the 1970s and Dr Haze's love of performing.

He said: "The 1970s was a great time for horror movies and music, and all of it was an inspiration to me. There was an amazing change in horror movies during this time, from the Exorcist to Carrie. To live through all of that is what really inspired me.

"I later saw a gap in the market, especially as Cirque du Soleil was more of an upper class circus. I wanted to create a circus for other people.

"I was born and bred in the circus - performing is in my blood."

Circus of Horrors will land at the Lighthouse, Poole on May 28 and Bournemouth Pavilion on June 5.

Tickets can be purchased on the individual venue's website.

All performances will take place in Covid compliant socially distanced venues.
