POLICE are investigating an incident where a man approached a woman and her daughter and told the child her “ice cream looked nice”.
Parents of pupils in Poole have been warned of a man acting suspiciously on Uppleby Road.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “At around 3.10pm on Tuesday, April 20, it is reported that a man approached a woman and her daughter on Uppleby Road in Poole and told the child that her ice cream looked nice.
“It is reported that during the morning on Wednesday. April 21, the same man spoke to a different member of the public and was acting suspiciously.
“The man has not been seen to directly speak with children on their own. He is reported to have interacted with parents who are walking with their children.
“The incident was reported to Dorset Police at around 5.40pm on Wednesday, April 21.
“Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team have been made aware. Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and establish the full circumstances of the incidents.”
