POLICE are patrolling schools to check for parking issues as children return to the classroom after the Easter break.

Bournemouth police officers visited several schools yesterday and have now warned people to consider safety when dropping off and collecting their children.

Many schools are in residential areas and do not have designated parking areas.

A spokesman said: "Please always have the safety of the children at the front of your mind when choosing to park. Do not park on zig zags or double yellow lines."
