A DRINK driver who was more than three times the limit and failed to stop after a crash on the A31 has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.

Chloe Louise Hendy, 23, appeared before magistrates in Poole on April 9 in relation to the incident on the evening of March 14.

She was accused of driving a Toyota Corolla which was involved in a collision at Azalea roundabout on the A31 in Ferndown, with damage being caused to a Renault Clio vehicle and she failed to stop at the scene.

Hendy, whose address was given as Fernlea Gardens, Ferndown, was also alleged to have been drink driving.

Prosecutors said she provided a sample to police which contained 106 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The defendant admitted charges of failing to stop after an accident and drink driving.

Magistrates issued here with a 12-month community order, with a requirement to carry out 175 hours of unpaid work.

She was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for two years.
