YOUTHS were seen running away from a camp fire in Verwood's Potterne Park.
Firefighters were called yesterday afternoon and now they have repeated their warning about the danger of lighting fires outdoors.
A spokesman for Verwood fire station said: "We were again sent to Potterne Park to reports of youths setting fires. After contacting the caller this turned out to be in the woods between the skate bowl and Moors Valley.

"After repositioning to near the solar farm the small camp fire was located. Several people were seen running away from the area as we approached. The fire was extinguished using buckets of water due to the location.
"Please do not light fires, the fire risk is extremely high at the moment. We’ve already had a multi pump heath fire this week and don’t want any repeats of this."
