As the country prepares itself to eat at restaurants once more, the Daily Echo takes another look at some of its readers' favourite long-lost restaurants and take-aways.

We asked our Facebook group, We Grew Up In Bournemouth and Poole, which restaurants from the past they miss the most.

Dozens of food lovers responded, each of them eager to share their memories.

Scroll down to see if your favourite is among them.

Mrs T's Supper Rooms

Bournemouth Echo:

Who could forget Mr's T's Supper Rooms in Poole Road?

They didn't have a menu as such, just one allocated sitting time. If there was anything left over, they would dish it out for seconds.

Casa Pepe

Bournemouth Echo:

Perfect for meat-eaters!

Casa Pape offered plenty on its menu but was most loved for its steaks. This Holdenhurst Road restaurant offered rump, fillet and sirloin as well as steak specials.

Luigi

Bournemouth Echo:

We all love a good pizza!

Luigi, located in Wimborne Road, was a firm favourite among locals.

Mr Pangs

Bournemouth Echo:

A good bit of Chinese grub!

This restaurant, located in Holdenhurst Road, was extremely popular while it was open.

Salsa

Bournemouth Echo:

Salsa was a Latin bar and restaurant with Latin spirit and flair.

The Charminster Road eatery served great Mexican food.
