A LARGE number of cannabis plants were discovered by police at an address in Springbourne.
Whilst conducting checks at the address on Friday, April 2, officers entered to attempt to locate a suspect for an unrelated matter and found a large cannabis harvest within several rooms of the address.
According to police, the occupant of the property attempted to escape by jumping through the kitchen window but he was detained by officers in the garden.
He is now assisting officers with their enquiries and the grow will be dismantled and destroyed, along with all related equipment.
In a post on Facebook, Bournemouth Police said: "Cannabis grow houses of this scale are not simply for personal use and are often, but not always, connected to organised crime.
"They are run for profit and often end up with the landlord facing a large repair bill owing to the alterations made."
