POLICE have urged people to park considerately outside schools to reduce the risk of an accident occurring.
It comes as Bournemouth Police said parking outside schools is becoming “more and more hazardous”.
A spokesperson for Bournemouth Police said: “It is vitally important, for the safety of children, to ensure that you park safely, even if it’s only for a few minutes to drop them off.
“Illegal and inconsiderate parking around the schools is causing hazards for road users and pedestrians alike. Inconsiderate parking also creates unnecessary traffic jams and increases the likelihood of an accident occurring and someone being hurt.
“Inconsiderate parking can cause real problems for children and parents who are walking in or out of the school, those with pushchairs and also wheelchair users.”
