HAVE you been enjoying the sunshine and warmer weather this week? 

People flocked to the beaches this week to enjoy the mini heatwave that hit our shores. 

From sunbathing to surfing, cooking barbecues to boxing - the beaches were filled with people making the most of the weather as temperatures soared to 17C.

The fair weather is expected to continue through to the weekend, but is expected to drop considerably as we enter a cold spell by Monday.  

With sea temperatures still around 8-9C the breeze can make the warm temperatures feel colder.

The sunshine is set to continue for the next few days, with potential highs of 18C on Thursday, April 1.

BCP Council have urged people to stick to the rules and report anyone they think is breaking them.

There are also a number of COVID marshalls patrolling to ensure people stick to the correct guidelines and the rule of six.

Andy Williams, head of safer communities, BCP Council said: "Anyone who has concerns about others breaking the rules – for example, mixing indoors – can report their concerns to us via the BCP Council website.

“We also have between eight and ten COVID marshals in place this week and can increase the numbers of our officers at short notice if needed.

"Our COVID marshals will be patrolling the areas to keep people safe and to ensure that residents and visitors are following the current rules."
