OVERNIGHT closures will be in place every evening this week to improve the layout of one of Bournemouth’s busiest roundabout.
Boundary Roundabout will be closed to traffic travelling in all directions from 7pm to 7am on Monday March 29, through to Friday April 2.
Road closures will be in place between Talbot Avenue Roundabout and University Roundabout in both directions and between Gillett Road and Boundary Road in both directions.
Diversion will be in place via Kinson Road and Ensbury Park Road to access Talbot Road for the duration of the works.
Commuters wishing to access Fern Barrow must come from Wallisdown Road.
Morebus have announced that changes to bus routes as a result of the road closures.
Route 15 towards Royal Bournemouth Hospital will continue to Bournemouth University as usual and then divert via Wallisdown Road, Kinson Road, Ensbury Park Road to its original route.
The bus company’s number 17 route towards Winton/ Bournemouth/ Royal Bournemouth Hospital will continue to Bournemouth University as usual and then divert via Wallisdown Road, Columbia Road and Winton Banks.
The diversions will be in reverse for both journeys.
Several stops for both routes, including Talbot Manor, Talbot Roundabout, Osborne Road and Winton Banks, will not be served during this time.
The nearest alternative stops for the number 15 and 17 routes are Bournemouth University or Ensbury Park Road and Bournemouth University or Stirling Road (Wimborne Road) respectively.
