A ROAD in Bournemouth remains closed after a car collided with a telegraph pole last night in West Howe.
Officers were called to Moorside Avenue late on Saturday March 27 after a car crashed into a telegraph pole, causing serious damage to both the vehicle and utility pole.
Police are still on the scene and awaiting recovery vehicles before reopening the road.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: “We received a report last night of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Moorside Avenue in West Howe.
“The vehicle has gone into a telegraph pole, which is now badly damaged and hanging over the road.
“Because of the positioning of the car and the pole we have had to keep the road closed and awaiting various recovery vehicles for assistance.”
