NEW Year’s resolutions – we make them, we break them.

Our good intentions are fragile things when they bump up against the rock of our true nature.

So, we shouldn’t be too surprised or disappointed to discover that Robert Readman’s promise to forgo his intemperate and unreasoned tirades about the EU died a death quite early on in the year.

It would be rather like expecting a fish to swim without water.

But surely Robert, isn’t it time to accept that you ‘won’ and get over it?
