A DECISION on plans to build more than 200 flats on the edge of a Bournemouth town centre car park has been delayed.
BCP Council’s planning committee had been due to consider the application submitted by Summix RGB Developments Ltd and Sheet Anchor on Thursday but were told it was “not quite ready”.
A report published ahead of its meeting had recommended the scheme for four blocks around the Richmond Gardens car park be approved.
It said the scheme, for buildings ranging from 15 storeys in height to 12, would bring “significant” benefits.
Planning permission is already in place for the construction of student housing on the site.
But at the start of Thursday’s meeting, councillor Dave Kelsey, the chairman of the planning committee, said it was “not quite ready” for consideration.
As a result, councillors agreed unanimously to defer their consideration of the application until a future meeting.
