NO further coronavirus deaths have been recorded in Dorset Hospitals in the last 24 hours.

The figures since the start of the pandemic remain at 721 in University Hospitals Dorset, 110 at the Dorset County Hospital and 74 within the Dorset Healthcare University Trust.

The news comes as the government reveals that half of the UK adult population has received a first dose of a coronavirus vaccine.

Across England, a further 71 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died in hospital.

This took the country's hospital coronavirus death total to 85,730.

Patients who died were aged between 41 and 99 years old. All except two, aged 46 and 62, had known underlying health conditions.

Date of deaths ranged from September 22, 2020, to March 19.

Three of the fatalities were recorded in the south west region.
