DORSET Council is keen to remind people that speed limits are in place across areas in Wimborne and Colehill due to ongoing works.
A 30mph speed limit is currently in place in Leigh Road and Wimborne Road West.
The speed was reduced from 40mph as a result of the new cycle lane improvements, which are ongoing thanks to a £79m grant from the government.
As part of the government's Transforming Cities Fund, Dorset Council is building 2.3km of new cycle and walking improvements along Leigh Road and Wimborne Road West in Wimborne and Colehill, between Brook Road and Canford Bottom Roundabout.
The new speed limit has been in force for several weeks now, and drivers are reminded to keep their speed below 3️0️mph.
