FOR THE fourth day running, no new coronavirus deaths have been recorded in Dorset hospitals in the latest 24 hour period, latest figures reveal.

Data released by NHS England shows there were no new deaths in the county’s hospitals, but there were two deaths in the wider south west region.

It means the totals remain the same, with 720 deaths occurring at the University Hospitals Dorset Trust since the start of the pandemic.

A total of 110 people have died at the Dorset County Hospital and 72 people have died at the Dorset Healthcare Trust.

A further 77 people, who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 85,488. 

Patients were aged between 43 and 101 years old.

All except five (aged 64 to 101 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from 17 January to 16 March 2021.
