A WARNING has been issued over potential flooding on roads near the Dorset coast due to high sea levels from tides and strong winds.
The flood alert is currently in force for the east coast of Dorset region.
The Government's flood information service says high water is forecast for 5.15am on Thursday, March 11, with a Force 7 west south westerly wind.
A notice on the Government website says: "Flooding to roads is expected and may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide."
A similar alert is in place for the west coast of the county.
It adds: "We are closely monitoring the situation. Please be careful along beaches, promenades and coastal footpaths and roads."
A national yellow weather warning for wind from the Met Office remains in force until 3pm on Thursday, March 11.
Forecasters say strong winds accompanied by heavy and blustery showers may bring some disruption.
