A SELECTION of modern and contemporary art is set to go up for auction next month.
The Charterhouse auction, which is set to take place on April 8, includes modern and contemporary art, as well as more traditional paintings.
Charterhouse director, Richard Bromwell said: "The market for modern and contemporary art remains strong at auction. With buyers bidding live on the internet at home combined with specialist couriers offering door to door delivery, this has revolutionised the way collectors collect.."
The auction features works by modern artists Antoine Blanchard, Leon Morrocco and Allan Morgan.
Marcel Masson, who painted under the pseudonym Antoine Blanchard, is famous for his Paris views paintings.
His painting of a Parisian street scene in winter is estimated to sell for £1,500 to £2,500.
Edinburgh-born Leon Morrocco's 1993 painting is estimated to sell for £1,000 to £1,500.
His distinctive painting style has found favour in notable public and private collections, including The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, The Scottish Arts Council and the Leeds City Art Gallery.
Two acrylic paintings by full-time artist Allan Morgan are estimated to sell for £200 to £400 each.
