WHY oh why is BCP Council so obsessed with creating cycle lanes?
We have a few hundred maybe even a thousand or so, at best, leisure cyclists.
Unlike major cities we do not have the numbers who travel to and from work using said machine.
Yet there are plans to set up large numbers of dedicated cycle lanes across the whole area at a huge cost.
We council tax payers may not be footing the whole cost but I bet we will be having to pay something.
We have here in Poole some of the worst pavements I have come across in the country yet is money spent on them no.
BCP has spent Lottery money ‘modernising’ Poole Park resulting in an unexpected Aqua Park especially around the War Memorial, goodness knows what mess they can come up with when creating the new cycle lanes.
