TWO paddleboarders clinging to a buoy and waving for help were rescued by a passing vessel in Poole Harbour.
The Poole Coastguard Rescue Team was alerted at 3.30pm on Sunday when the paddleboarders were rescued from the North Channel.
A coastguard spokesman said: "The paddle boarders were well equipped, but were caught out in the tide so clung to a buoy in the North Channel and flagged down a passing vessel.
Police attend three crashes in one shift
"Poole Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked to meet the vessel at Salterns Marina to check the casualties for any medical attention and to offer safety advice. Both were well equipped and had plenty of safety kit. They did the right thing by staying with the buoy until assistance arrived."
